Tips for Passing the CCSA Exam

The following suggestions have helped others pass the CCSA Exam:

• concentrate on controls NOT on the specific setting - "controls" are "controls" in accounting, manufacturing, and every place else - they only look different each place
• the CSA facilitator is not required to be an expert in the area to facilitation a CSA effort - but must have CSA facilitation skills and the ability to apply them
• answer questions as CSA is generically practiced (as discussed in the McKeever CCSA Study System) - not as it is used in your organization - CSA is very flexible, therefore, each organization implements CSA differently based on many factors
• analyze questions with a large amount of wording to determine what the actual question is asking
• if you don't know the answer eliminate the ones you know are incorrect and GUESS the answer - review later if you have time - the actual CCSA Exam has features that allows you to tag questions for further review (download and use a copy of the Pearson Vue full-featured Tutorial Demo Test at http://www.pearsonvue.com/iia/) - there is no penalty for an incorrect answer and no credit for NO answer
• watch the clock on the screen so that you answer every question within the time limit for the test
• make certain to answer all questions to improve you chances of passing - don't spend too much time on one question
• use care in answering questions that use the term "always"
